Eco-Migrants from Adjara VS Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation
Humanrights.ge visited the Gorelovka village in Ninotsminda district, Samtskhe-Javakheti region. About 300 families live in the village; among them are about 100 families of eco-migrants resettled from Khuli district, Adjara.

Tusheti before Elections – Problems and Perspectives
Tusheti was named as one of the most promising resortsin Georgia last year. In  the Yahoo travel and BBC top ten ratings, Tusheti took fifth place. It is one of the most beautiful regions but the roads are very bad and dangerous, not to mention that it has one of the highest road passes above sea level in Georgia. In the winter this region is almost empty.

District Administrations transported people to the assembly of the National Movement in Batumi
On September 8, teachers and pupils, pensioners alongside with administrative resource of the districts of Adjara Autonomous Republic were brought to the National Movement’s assembly in Batumi by mini-buses. The district administrations covered travel expenses. However, they had not announced bid for transport service.

Free Food Before Elections from CDM
On July 31, leaders of the Christian-Democrat Movement met their supporters brought by mini-buses from various districts of Kakheti region at the Memorial to Great Patriotic War in Gurjaani. After the meeting, the CDM served the gathered people with barbecue, cucumbers, tomatoes, bread and wine.

Maestro Solidarity Action in Brussels
Georgians, living in Europe, held a Maestro solidarity assembly in front of the European Union’s Institutes on July 15. Georgians from Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and other European countries participated in the rally. They were holding dish TV- antennas and posters with the following slogans:”Stop Media-Swallower!”, “Misha, do not deceive people”, ”Misha, do not threaten people!”, “We deserve a better president”, etc.

Nobody recalls many of mountainous villages even during pre-election period. People still migrate from the mountainous villages because of lack of roads and many unresolved social problems. Neither government nor opposition parties have presented program for the development of mountainous regions before upcoming parliamentary elections. At least, no similar document was presented to people yet.

The construction of a hydroelectric station, which began in 2011 in the Dariali ravine, probably will change the ravine’s look. By new project river-bed of Tergi will change almost by 8 kilometers, before Tergi was running from borough of Stepantsminda till Larsi.

 “Watch out! A Woman is driving!” March 8 advertising event of the Insurance Company “GPI Holding” caused serious protest. Part of customers found the advertising banner of the event as sexist. The ad with a woman with smashed lipstick offers insurance to customers.

Children in Trunks to Meet President
On March 5, last lessons were canceled in public schools of Akhmeta district villages because of the president’s visit. The schooling process was stopped at 12:00 pm in the town public schools for the same reason. The activists of the National Movement brought pupils by lorry trunks to collect a lot of people in front of the recently opened medical center to meet the president.

Police Building In Place of Thievishly Cut Pine-Trees
At the end of Moscow Avenue in Tbilisi tens of pine-trees planted 50 years ago have been cut. Police building is being built in this place. Since the public protested destruction of perennial plants, the pine-trees were cut at night thievishly and the foundation works were started right away.
