World Association of Newspapers Condemns the Violence on Georgian Journalists

The World Association of Newspapers adopted a resolution at their session in Vienna where they criticized the Georgian government for having assaulted journalists while dispersing the demonstrators on November 7.

The Association calls upon the Georgian government to investigate the concrete facts of journalists’ harassments and take corresponding measures against offenders.

The World Association of Newspapers adopted a similar resolution concerning China, Somalia, Myanmar, Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
