November 30, 2007
On November 29 Maia Kopaleishvili, the judge at the administrative board of Tbilisi Civil Court, discussed the medication of the Income Department within the Ministry of Finance on the industrial activities of “TV-Imedi” Ltd.

According to the Court spokesperson, in compliance with the application of Income Department of Ministry of Finance “TV-Imedi” Ltd had financial losses over 2004-2006 which amounted to 19 million lari. Despite this fact the shared capital of TV-Imedi was increased approximately by 30 million lari.

During the trial Soso Baratashvili, the representative of TV-Imedi Ltd, stated that they are not against the inspection but he thinks that the abovementioned mediation to the court was groundless.

The court satisfied the application of the Income Department within the Ministry of Finance and allowed the Inspection Department of Large Tax Payers to raid the TV-Imedi Ltd.

The duration of the raid was estimated by 15 days instead of one month and when the resolution is signed the inspection will start the raid. In accordance with the law both sides have opportunity to appeal against the sentence within 48 hours.
