Non-governmental Organizations Have Published “Systemic Survey of Media”

December 14, 2007
On December 13 two projects were presented in the Hotel “Tbilisi Marriott”.
1. “Well-informed Choice of Citizens: Media and Elections” (donor organization: EU)
2. “Georgian Media and Well-informed Choice of Citizens” (donor organization “Euro-Asia” Foundation)

In addition to that the booklet on “Systemic Survey of Media” was presented at the hotel. The survey was implemented within the framework of “Well-informed Choice of Citizens: Media and Elections”.

The survey analyses how Moambe (“Public Broadcaster”), Kurieri (TV Company “Rustavi 2”) and Kronika (TV Company “Imedi”) were covering political events in the spring of 2007.

The project was carried out with the support of EU Delegations in Georgia and Armenia.
As Ia Antadze, one of the research authors said, the survey has demonstrated that in spring of 2007 “Kronika” was the most balanced media source. While Public Broadcaster had a lot of problems in this regard and “Kurieri” always was somewhere between “Kronika” and “Moambe”
