Court Sentenced Arkadi Patarkatsishvil to Two-Month Pre-trial Detention

The Collegium of the Criminal Cases at Tbilisi City Court sentnced businessman Arkadi Patarkatsishvili to two-month pre-trial detention. As Medianews was told at the court the Prosecutor General’s Office solicited to the City Court on this issue.

It is noteworthy that Arkadi Patarkatsishvili is accused for plotting an overthrow of the Georgian government that is punished from five to eight years’ imprisonment. In addition to that, he is accused for an attempt to attack a high ranking official; for the crime a person can be sentenced to 7 to 20 years; or life imprisonment; a person intending a terrorist act is sentenced to ten or fifteen years.
