Criminal Case Was Launched Against Valeri Gelbakhiani

Criminal case was launched against Valeri Gelbakhiani, who is MP and head of the political fraction» “For Our Georgia". According to the General Prosecutor’s office he was blamed for plotting the state overthrow is that is envisaged under the Criminal Code Article315, Paragraph I.  

Since Gelbakhiani is Member of Parliament, according to the regulations of the Georgian Parliament Article 19 Paragraph III, Prosecutor General’s Office petitioned to the legislative body about the situation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs published video material where Gelbakhiani, together with his co-thinkers, is speaking about hindering presidential elections and state overthrow.
