Mother of Murder Victim Demands Police Department Punished

Nusho Tetradze, a resident of Dedoplistskaro district, demands Prosecutor General’s Office to launch criminal persecution against the board of the Dedoplistskaro district police department.

Tetradze stated in his interview with the Human Rights Centre that must short time ago her fifty-four-year-old Marina Maisuradze was initially tortured and then murdered in Dedoplistskaro.

“The policemen from Kakheti Department of the Internal Ministry arrested Givi Chincharauli, Valeri and Roman Kasianovs, as suspects in the murder, after they robbed and killed another woman, Shura Gvritishvili. Dedoplistskaro police were able to prevent the murder of Marina Maisuradze. The head of the police knew that the criminals threatened her daughter with death but law enforcers did noting in reaction on it,” said the mother of the killed girl.

Giorgi Bunturi, the head of Dedoplistskaro Police Department, has not commented about Tetradze’s serious accusations.
