Raining on IDPs Residing in Boarding-House “Vejini”

June 26, 2008
IDPs residing in Boarding-house Vejini (in the village of Vejini in Gurjaani district) are asking the government for urgent help.

The IDPs informed the Human Rights Centre that the rain is leaking in their rooms. Because of extremely poor living conditions in the boarding-house. They have appealed to the local authority several times.  However, in spite of all their pleas, nobody has assisted them.

The IDPs added that the rooms that are not used in the building are very often used by drug addicts and this situation makes their living even more unbearable.
