Tsotne Gamsakhurdia Arrested by Georgian Counterintelligence

 Information portal apsni.ge informs that the representatives of counterintelligence within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia arrested Tsotne Gamsakhurdia, son of Zviad Gamsakhurdia who was the first democratically-elected president of Georgia.

Tsotne Gamsakhurdia was arrested shortly after arriving from Russia to Tbilisi. Shota Utiashvili, head of Information Analytical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia confirmed the fact of Gamsakhurdia’s arrest.

Georgian law enforcers had been looking for Gamsakhurdia since November 2007.
