A Georgian Police Officer Died in Karaleti

Today at 10:15 a.m. the fire was unleashed to a Georgian Police check point being situated at the entrance of the village Karaleti, Gori district from the vicinity of the nearby standing Russian block post. As a consequence of this, Kakha Tsotniashvili, a Georgian police officer suffered severe injures in head and throat areas

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia states that Tsotniashvili died before arriving to the hospital.

According to the present day information, Ossetian militias fired the fatal shots. It is noteworthy that those Russian peacekeepers who are suppose to be maintaining order did not prevent them this killing.
