Georgian Ministry of Defense Lost 168 Soldiers in the War

Georgian Ministry of Defense lost only 168 soldiers in the conflict region during Georgian-Russian war of August 2008.

Today, Batu Kutelia, deputy Defense Minister, stated at the press-conference at the hotel “Sheraton Metekhi Palace,” that their ministry has lost 168 during the war operations in Tskhinvali and Shida Kartli region. 156 out of them are already buried on Georgian territory. 110 out of them were still identified.    

Batu Kutelia expresses his sincere condolence to the families of the fallen soldiers.
