October 6, 2008

Ossetian militias continue raiding in Georgian villages in the so-called buffer zones. Armed Ossetians are now looting a stone quarry and storage depots in the village of Tirdznisi, Gori District. Temur Tetunashvili, the representative of the village of Tirdznisi states that the Ossetians have brought trucks and are trying to loot expense equipment from the quarry. The Ossetians have already taken special equipment along with the two trucks. The local government and Georgian law enforcers have already informed the EU observers and Marat Kulakhmetov, head of peacekeeping forces. They are expecting that EU observer and the head of peacekeepers to react on the fact.

A house in the village of Adzvi was robbed. Guja Rcheulishvili, the representative of the village of Adzvi informs that several armed men in masks burglarized the family of Kujoshvili and took money together with other valuable belongings. The robbed family states that the thieves spoke in Georgian but with Ossetian accents.
