Abkhaz De-facto Government Apportioned a Plot for Russian Military Base

Abkhaz de-facto government apportioned a large plot in Gudauta District for Russian occupation forces to build a Russian military base.

This decision was made by the de-facto Abkhaz Parliament.

According to Astan Tabaghua, press secretary of Abkhaz de-facto parliament, the parliament was instructed by the government to apportion a plot to the Russians in Gudauta.

Nikolai Makarov, head of Russian Armed forces’ General Staff stated taht military bases will be built in Tskhinvali and Gudauta in 2009, which will house 3,700 Russian solders each.
