Initial Report of Ecological Aggression Resulted from War Was Published

Members of the Commission for the Assessment of the Damage Caused by war operations published the initial report of the ecological aggression resulted from the war at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.

Tengiz Urushadze, member-correspondent of the National Academy of Georgian Science, included those facts and prognosis in the report that occurred during the Russian intervention in Georgia.

The report lists those ecological units that were targets of Russian aggression; more precisely they are: Black Seaside where oil was poured; polluting of drinking water in Gori district, conditions of greenery alongside the central motorway; pouring of the oil near the village of Skra in Gori district and artificially fires in Ateni and Borjomi valleys.

The report discusses each case of ecological damage by using statistic and photo materials.
