Ossetian Soldiers Beat Georgian Sheep Herder to Death

Ossetian solders killed Nodar Tatunashvili, Georgian shepherd in beating in village Kanchaveti, Akhalgori district.

An Ossetian soldier who serves in Russian army beat the defenseless Georgian shepherd, with the participation of together with other soldiers, over a sheep.

Zurab Pitskhelauri, Akhalgori District Governor told news agency Media News that Ossetian solders tried to steal a sheep away from Nodar Tatunashvili. The latter resisted and was killed from the beating.

“Even though Ossetian paramilitaries have left Akhalgori, the situation remains tense. There are still some Ossetian criminals who remain behind in village Korinta. They loot houses. Only 10 % of the local population remains at this time in the village and those who stayed are ethnically Ossetians,” Zorab Pitskhelauri told Media News
