Students and Professors Freezing in Akhaltsikhe State Institute

December 18, 2008

Both students and professors of Akhaltsikhe State Institute all are complaining about the total lack of heating; they say that there is a real “ice age” in their 4-storied building.

Officially it is said that the building is being heated with low grade black oil. However, the students and professors say unofficially that there is no heating at all in the Institute in reality. “If you sit on the heating device, it might warm you a bit but otherwise it is freezing in the building,” said a student.

There are electric heaters in the chambers of Institute administration staff. However, it is cold in class rooms and hallways.

“Students sit in auditoriums in their coats and hats on them but I can not take exception to their actions. I am very cold too. When student pay quite a decent sum of money for education, they must not freeze in auditoriums,” said a professor of Akhaltsikhe State Institute.
