Supreme Court of Georgia did not consider the interests of I.V. victim of domestic violence and did not change the verdict of district court. The Supreme Court decided to expel mother of two under-age children from the house.
I.V. has nowhere to go. She is socially excluded person and her family was granted with extremely law rating point when they were examined within Poverty Reduction State Program. Besides that, it is unclear who will take care of children because the father of the children has psychic problems.
As I.V. reported to the Human Rights Center, Kakheti execution bureau demanded her to leave the house and unless she obeys the order within 10 days she will be fined and then prosecuted.
District court decided to evict I.V. from the house of her father-in-law so that she did not attend the trial. The court satisfied the request of the applicant. According to the court explanation, I.V. did not appear to the process and the judge passed verdict in her absence. I.V. stated she was expelled from the house because she was abused; she was ill and could not provide correspondent document to the court because of inappropriate legal consultation.
