Socially Excluded Person Threatens with Suicide

Thirty-year-old Lia Berozashvili, resident of the village of Velistsikhe in Gurjaani district, threatens with suicide in front of Gurjaani office of the Agency for Social Service to express her protest.

Berozashvili stated that her family is extremely impoverished and she has applied to the agency several times to request allowance for her family. However, she has not been assisted yet. Berozashvili said Gurjaani office of the agency grants allowances to rich families and impoverished families are not aided. The socially excluded woman said that nobody pays attention to their problems and now she has decided to commit suicide in protest.

Gurjaani office of the Agency for Social Service does not comment on the fact.
