Impoverished People Cannot Get Allowance from the Branch Offices of the “People’s Bank”

March 27, 2009

Members of socially excluded families from various districts of the Kakheti region reported that branch offices of the “People’s Bank” do not issue allowances estimated within the Poverty Reduction State Program.

Lida Kokoeva, a social outcast, says that she has visited the Gurjaani office of the “People’s Bank” already several times recently, for her allowance  but did not get any assistance because the bank did not have any money.

The Agency for Social Subsidies explained that the “People’s Bank” was allocated enough sums to issue allowances in March.
