The Auction of Gocha Dzasokhov property did not take place

March 27, 2009

The auction for the sequestrated property of businessman Gocha Dzasokhov “Kartuli Produkti” (“Georgian Product”) was not held as had been announced.  “Medianews” was informed by the Ministry of Finance that the auction was planned for 26 March; however, since nobody showed any interest in the property, the auction was postponed. The date of the next auction is not fixed yet.

89 sorts of property items owned by the company, including non-agricultural land in a small town of Adjara, basic workshops, warehouses, facilities, water-pumps, concentrated juices of grape and mandarin, were to be sold at the auction. The starting price is 9 028 261 GEL.
“Kartuli Produkti” is located in Samepo St. 50, Gori.

Businessman Gocha Dzasokhov was president of the Georgian Wrestling Federation. In August 2008, after the Russian-Georgian war, he opposed the government. According to some sources, he is in Moscow now.
