Head of Gurjaani Office of the Agency for Social Service Got Fired

Khatuna Papunashvili, head of the Gurjaani office of the Agency for Social Service, was fired.

Papunashvili does not care to make any comments regarding this fact. Teona Kaldani, interim head of the office of the Agency for Social Service, reported that Papunashvili is enjoying her holiday though there is no corresponding resolution at the Agency. “I cannot confirm or deny the information about firing Khatuna Papunashvili,” said Kaldani.

Reportedly, many socially excluded families complained about Khatuna Papunashvili regarding the Poverty Reduction State Program. Impoverished people blamed her for various violations; the Kakheti office of the Human Rights Center also exposed several violations committed by Papunashvili as a result of the monitoring of the Poverty Reduction State Program which was implemented in Gurjaani.
