Saakashvili Will Be Banned From Visiting Restaurants with Women during Working Hours

April 1, 2009

The series of demonstrations against Mikheil Saakashvili’s dinner parties still goes on. Yesterday, late at night representatives of the youth branch of political movement stated in front of the Parliament that they would not allow Saakashvili to visit restaurants with unkown women during working hours. Some demostraters were arrested. After the arrests the remaining demonstraters made a  briefin dedicated to the detention of four activists from the youth branch near the restaurant “Meidan Palace”. One of them, Dachi Tsaguria, was released from detention after having paid a fine of 400 GEL. Later, Tsaguria joined the briefing and stated they would not allow Saakashvili to live in peace.

The youth branch is going to hold other demonstrations before April 9. On April 3 they will protest the opening of the park on Mtatsminda where President would be present too. Young oppositionists think that the President does not have right to attend the opening of the park which was illegally taken from its restorer, late Badri Patarkatsishvili.
