April 10, 2009

Manana Kobakhidze, director of the non-governmental organization Article 42 of the Constitution, stated that policemen dressed in the clothes of the party uniform of the members of the Conservative Party merged with the demonstrators and try to provoke the situation. Kobakhidze made a statement about that fact at the briefing organized by the Public Defender’s Office.

“People dressed in the uniforms of members of the Conservative Party attempted to break up a quarrel among the people. Members of the Conservative Party standing nearby saw the people and could not recognize them as their co-members. Demonstrators claim the people were policemen.
