People Demand Pensions in Poti

April 13, 2009

Today, there was noise in the Poti office for issuing the pensions. Retired people demand their April pension to be distributed on time.

As retired people claim the delay in getting the pension create many problems for them because they pay communal bills from the pensions. The retired people threatened with blocking central high-way unless the pensions are issued on time.

Inga Ghvinjilia, head of Agency for Social Subsidies in Poti, stated that request for the pension is sent at the beginning of each month but she cannot understand why the transfer of the sums for the pension is delayed.

Poti branch of the People’s Bank vowed the pensions will be issued from tomorrow.

As it was reported, People’s Bank will renew loan-service from tomorrow in Poti. Davit Pachkoria, manager of Poti branch of People’s Bank, stated loans will be issued on those people first who get social sums from People’s Bank. These are retired people and socially excluded families who get allowances.
