Journalists of the Rustavi 2 and Public Broadcasting Were Assaulted by Former Policeman

Former policeman participated in the incident with the journalists of the Rustavi 2 and Public Broadcasting. According to the Ministry of Interior Zaza Metreveli was deputy head of Dusheti Police Department; he was arrested on April 11, 2006 for having accepted bribe from a citizen and was sent to prison for four years.

On May 14 2008 he was pardoned by the president and was released from prison.
