Mother of Prisoner Paata Kaikatsishvili Was Moved to Kobuleti Hospital

May 29, 2009

Today Nargiza Kaikatsishvili, mother of prisoner Paata Kaikatsishvili was moved to Kobuleti Central Hospital by the emergency ambulance. As the press service of the Political Movement for the United Georgia informed the interpressnews, the prisoner’s mother has had headaches in recent days and doctors took her to hospital and her blood was transfused for several times.

Nargiza Kaikatsishvili has been on hunger strike for 21 days with a demand to release her son from prison; she was on strike near the building of Kobuleti City Hall.

“She asked her relatives not to take away her tent because she is going to continue being on hunger strike,” said the representatives of the Movement for United Georgia.

We do not know whether the doctors allow her to continue strike, because her health condition has worsened.

Paata Kaikatsishvili was detained for the purchase and storage of drug. He was given 7- year prison sentence. Paata Kaikatsishvili is a relative of Zurab Nogaideli, the leader of the party Movement for the United Georgia. The party members think that the fact is connected with the arrest of Kaikatsishvili.
