Two Patients Injured in Incident yesterday Remain in Republican Hospital

Two patients injured in incident on Purtseladze Street yesterday remain in republican hospital.

As head of the receptionist department Giorgi Gotsadze informed InterpressNews, demonstrator Giorgi Kochiashvili remains in the reception who is disabled and is injured.

As for the wounded policeman Vakhtantg Bochorishvili, who was taken from the so called Mikhaelov hospital to the Central Hospital, is being treated in the hospital and his life is out of danger.

There was clash between demonstrators and law enforcers yesterday on Purtseladze Street. The action participants state that masked people armed with clubs took part in the incident, though they were not dressed in uniforms. Several demonstrators are injured.

According to the information of MIA, the representatives of the opposition detained the employ of MIA when he was filming ongoing processes by video camera; the members of the opposition parties dropped him into the entrance by force.

‘He managed to inform police by phone. Police officers who came at the place of the incident tried to release the detainee , however , the members of opposition resisted law enforcers and  wounded three police officers with knives; the police officers are taken to hospital.’ – is stated in the information released by the MIA

Criminal investigation has been launched on the incident. Investigation is underway.
