Mamuka Ghlonti Links Postponement of Communications Commission Session with Discussion of ‘Maestro’ Issue

June 5, 2009
Mamuka Ghlonti, head of TV Company “Maestro” stated that the National Commission for Communications postponed the today’s session because of the planned discussion of the issue about the TV Company “Maestro.”

“The biggest problem for them is national-wide broadcasting of “Maestro”. They know that if we cover the entire Georgia, people will go out in the street. They can postpone the session for one or two years. Our government has rich imagination and can fabricate elections as successfully as create obstacles for us. I cannot understand how they can speak about dialogue in similar situation,” said Mamuka Ghlonti in his interview with the Interpressnews.

According to official information the today’s session of the National Commission for Communications failed because there were not enough quorums on it; the commission was going to discuss the issue of the TV Company “Maestro”.

In addition to that, the demonstration of the opposition parties will not be held today that was intended in parallel to the session.
