Three Members of the “Democratic Movement for the United Georgia” Were Arrested in Kvemo Kartli Region

Law enforcers arrested three members of the “Democratic Movement for the United Georgia” in Kvemo Kartli region.

According to the spread information the detainees are Kakha Tabatadze in Rustavi, Dazmir Mikeladze in the village of Gamarjveba of Gardabani district, and Nodar Kedelidze, coordinator of the political party office in Tetritskaro district.

Nukri Shatirishvili, coordinator of the Kvemo Kartli regional office of the Democratic Movement for the United Georgia, reported to the Interpressnews that the three people are accused for illegal purchase-storage of the weapon and explosive substances.

Two days ago, Davit Ovashvili, Davit Shubitidze and Shalva Tsereteli were arrested for similar accusations. Shubitidze and Tsereteli were sentenced to two-month pre-trial detention by Marneuli and Bolnisi district courts.

Representatives of the Kvemo-Kartli regional office of the Democratic Movement for the United Georgia state that all six detainees are active members of the party and they were detained on political grounds.
