Head of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Office of Labor Party Was Arrested

Kote Tsamaladze, head of Mtskheta-Mtianeti regional office of the Labor Party, was arrested – Paata Jibladze, member of the Labor Party stated at the press-conference today.

Tsamaladze was arrested on June 24 for the possession of narcotics. According to Jibladze, Tsamaladze was sentenced to two-month pretrial detention and he is in Gldani prison.

Labor Party members connect the detention of Tsamaladze with his political activities and blame the government for political persecution.

Jibladze calls upon the Public Defender to request all documents on Tsamaladze and take all measures to assist the detainees on political grounds.
