Police and Court Executives Clear the Flat of IPDs from Abkhazia in Guramishvili Street 5

July 15, 2009

Policemen with court executives are clearing the flat of IDP from Abkhazia Mzia Tsotsonava in Guramishvili Street N 5.

According to neighbors Tsotsonava was demanded to leave the flat based on the court decision made in 2006.

“At the moment Mzia Tsotsonava is not in Tbilisi. She works in Moscow but her brother lived in her flat. Police and court executives arrived without warning and started to clear the flat. Although neighbors resisted the police, they have already taken out part of furniture from the flat and do not allow anybody to enter,” said neighbors.

Mzia Tsotsonava’s brother felt bad because of the eviction and was taken to hospital by ambulance. It is impossible to get in touch with him by now.

The Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation confirmed that flat of Tsotsonava is being cleared based on the court decision.
