Director General of Public Broadcasting Resigned

Levan Kubaneishvili, director general of the Public Broadcasting, resigned. The news agency “Pirveli” was provided with the information by reliable source. Gia Chanturia, deputy director general, will replace him temporarily.

Public Broadcasting neither confirms nor denies the information.

Levan Gakheladze, head of the board of the PB, stated that the board has not received the resignation letter of Kubaneishvili yet.

“I cannot say anything about his resignation because we have not received his letter yet,” reported Gakheladze to the news agency “Pirveli”.

Levan Kubaneishvili does not answer our phone calls. “Pirveli” was informed that he would make statement about resignation by the end of the day.
