140 Employees of the TV Company Imedi are due to be dismissed

140 employees of the TV Company Imedi are due to be dismissed. As the news agency Pirveli was informed, the process of reorganization has already started in the TV Company; however, the actual dismissal of the employees will start from September 1st. Reportedly, very few will be dismissed from personnel of the News Service. The redundancy will mainly cover the technical staff and the staff of specified TV programs. The information on expected dismissal of Bidzina Baratashvili, the Director-General of the TV Channel is not confirmed yet, however there is probability that he will be dismissed as well. Koba Davarashvili, a former director of the TV channel Rustavi 2 may be appointed on his post.
