Officer of Kakheti Main Department of MIA Broke Head of Waitress in the Restaurant

September 1, 2009

Officer of the Kakheti main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs broke head of a waitress in the so-called park restaurant during the quarrel.

The witnesses of the incident informed the Kakheti News Center that drunken law enforcement officer had quarrel with his friends in the restaurant; the policemen threatened the other with shooting. Witnesses said during the quarrel the policeman broke the head of a waitress at the restaurant. The woman was taken to district hospital.

The criminal case was launched under the Criminal Code of Georgia; however the prosecutor’s office has not detained anybody yet. Gurjaani district prosecutor Gela Lazashvili said that an ordinary citizen is suspected for the crime and not a policeman.
