Telavi Office of the Conservative Party Requests Investigation of the Raid in Their Office and of the Physical Assault of Their Members

Members of the Telavi Office of the Conservative Party request investigation of the raid in their office and physical assault of their party members.

Head of Telavi Office Giorgi Mosiashvili said although information about the incident in their office was spread by the news outlets, criminal investigation has not started yet.

Policemen raided the Telavi office of the Conservative Party on September 9 when government of Georgia was presenting their project “Report to People” in Telavi. Equipment and furniture were damaged during the raid. Mobile phones of party members were seized and then broken. Giorgi Dalakishvili, Erekle Tsotsanidze, Giorgi Mosiashvili from the Conservative Party were beaten. In addition to them, Gogi Chonishvili from the Telavi office of the Republic Party, Archil Jorjadze from the New Rights and Aleksandre Taliuri, head of the local NGO were also beaten.
