Shalva Ramishvili Requests the Government to Solve One Concrete Problem

Shalva Ramishvili, who was released from prison, requests the Government to solve one concrete problem in Rustaveli Prison #2.

Shalva Ramishvili held a conference in the Parliament today with Gia Tsagareishvili, an opposition MP and talked about one concrete problem which exists in Rustavi # 2 prison.

He says that there are 500 prisoners who do not have enough beds.

According to him prisoners are taking turns sleeping y. He says that this fact violates the International Convention and is torture. He remarked that besides this problem there are other problems which are connected with hygiene and food.

Ramishvili saysthat only opening of the bakery won’t solve the problems.

What about the hygiene problems? He says that they can take a bath only once in two days because of the gas and electricity debts.

“This is not the prisoners’ problem”, - says Shalva Ramishvili.

Shalva Ramishvili made a comment about prisoners who have not begun starving in protest in Rustvai #2 and said that prisoners are going to begin starving in protest, but nobody starves in prison today.
 
What about MPs and International organizations:  Ramishvili says that they have not visited the Penitentiary for a year.

Dimitri  Lortkipanidze, opposition MP, says that, he is very active person and prisoners are satisfied with him, but the problems are not solved again.
Gia Tsagareishvili says that he appealed to Dimitri Shashkin with the question to check the information about prisoners’ starvation. Herewith, he appealed to the Head of Parliament by third time to be allowed to enter the Penitentiary Office in Rustavii#2.

It is known that Gia Tsagareishvili has already demanded by two times to be allowed to enter the Penitentiary Office, but according to him nobody answered him.
