                       .
Representatives of the Kakheti office of the Human Rights Centre stated that on July 29, 2009 the organization requested public information about the rehabilitation activities in Sighnaghi but has not received the reply yet. “We sent administrative complaint to the governor on 11 August but they have not released the requested public information yet; furthermore they have not discussed our administrative complaint that is violation of the law. Consequently, we filed complaint to the municipality board and requested to impose administrative liability on the governor,” said representatives of the Human Rights Centre.

According to the Human Rights Centre, the Sighnaghi district administration is the most closed institution among local self-governmental institutions in Kakheti region; it is proved by our survey.

It must be noted, that two days ago non-governmental organizations - Young Lawyers Association and Fair Elections rewarded Sighnaghi district governor Nodar Kochlamazashvili with special award and medal of Davit Aghmashenebeli (the Builder) for active cooperation with non-governmental organizations and promotion the civil involvement in their activities.
