Two Local Residents Kidnapped From Gali District Are Free

Two local residents, who were kidnapped from the village of Taligoni in Gali District two days ago, are free now. Tornike Kilanava, representative of the legitimate government of Abkhazia to Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti Region, reported about it.

“Sharia and Toria were taken to Sokhumi, where they were judged for illegal crossing of the border. Igor Prolov is discussing this kind of cases in Sokhumi. Fine for first illegal crossing of the so-called border is 200 Rubles, but next time it amounts to 2000 GEL equivalent in Rubles. Sharia and Toria paid 200 Rubles fine and they are at home now”, stated Kilanava.

Russian border-guards arrested two residents of village Taligoni two days ago.
