Foreign Ministry Made a Comment about the Incident with American Soldiers

Today the ministry of foreign affairs of Georgia made a comment about the incident between American soldiers and Georgian citizens which occurred yesterday.

According to Nino Kalandadze, the deputy minister of foreign affairs, diplomatic interference in the incident is not necessary, because similar incidents happen very often. Though, she added the minister of foreign affairs of Georgia is ready to involve in this case if the USA requests to.

Besides that, Nino Kalandadze is sure the incident will not turn into political scandal.

Last night three drunken American soldiers beat and insulted two Georgian people near the hotel Varazi. One of the soldiers wounded Georgian in the head lightly.
