Large Family Remained Homeless Because of Swindle

November 16, 2009
Large family of Guram Tsetskhladze with five children from the village of Samtatskaro in Dedoplistskaro district was evicted from the house under force. Eco-migrant family from Adjara autonomous republic remained homeless. The Tseskhladzes have nowhere to go.

Guram Tsetskhladze said he had purchased house from Emzar Tsiklauri 18 months ago and paid 1 000 USD for it. He had to pay another part of the sum later. However, Tsiklauri sold and registered the same house on another person too.

“We hold notification of Tsiklauri where he confirms that he had taken the sum indeed. Now he does not return the sum to us and the police have evicted us from the house according to the request of the new owner of the house,” said Guram Tsetskhladze.

Head of Dedoplistskaro district police stated the court ordered them to evict Tsetskhladzes from the house.

The large family cannot rent a house either because their only income is allowance within the poverty reduction state program.
