December 18, 2009

Poland Court passed verdict to deport 10 citizens of Georgia. Konstantine Kavtaradze, ambassador of Georgia to Poland, reported to the Interpressnews about it.

According to the ambassador, the court confirmed that these people resisted law enforcement officers, when they requested them to leave train because they did not have tickets. Before deportation these people will be in closed camps near city of Shchechin.

As for other Georgian people, according to Kavtaradze, 22 citizens, generally women, children and men, who did not take part in the incident in the train, are now in the immigration camp near Warsaw and they will wait for their IDP status.

Three days ago estimated 32 citizens of Georgia together with Russian citizens, 200 people in total, tried to reach Germany by train from Poland without ticket and documents. Law enforcement officers forced them to leave the train at German and Polish border.
