Georgian Observers Were Called Vagrants in the Ukraine

Most Georgian citizens, who wanted to observe presidential elections in the Ukraine on January 17, are unemployed and uneducated vagrants. Elena Lukash, representative of the Party of Regions, whose presidential candidate is Victor Ianukovich, reported to “Ukraine Pravda”.

According to her, after checking up the documents they found out that 119 documents were doubled; no one has experience in observing the elections. 1 466 people are unemployed and many of them could not write anything in the box for occupation.

“So typical observer from Georgia is a young man without education, unemployed and without experience in observing the elections. Besides that, they do not have indicated their permanent address in the documents”, stated the representative of the Party of Regions.

Elena Lukash stated that 378 out of 2042 of Georgian applications were more or less satisfactory. However, Central Election Commission of the Ukraine did not allow them to observe the presidential elections.

Besides that, local non-governmental organizations and representatives of Iulia Timoshenko appealed the decision of the CEC at the court. The court will pass a sentence on January 13.

The presidential elections in Ukraine are scheduled on January 17, the second part- on February 7. The Central Election Commission allowed 3149 foreigners to observe the first part of elections.
