Criminal Case Launched against Georgian Observers

Prosecutor’s office of Kirov district in Donetsk launched criminal case against Georgian observers. “Interfax” reported about this. The case was launched on fabrication of documents by observers.

“Prosecutor’s office of Donetsk district launched criminal case in accordance to Article 358 Part I and III of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It was cleared up that so called observers from Georgia used false documents,” said the Donetsk Mayor Aleksandre Lukianchenko. According to him about 400-500 Georgian observers are still in Donetsk at the moment.

Georgian observers went to Ukraine to monitor presidential elections. First round of the presidential elections was held on January 17, 2010.
