Chairman of Kobuleti Municipality Board Plays Computer Football Game in the Office on Saturdays

May 17, 2010
The Human Rights Center visited the chairman of the Kobuleti municipality board Sulkhan Takidze in his office at about 4:00 pm on Saturday. We wanted to check the permission on the concert in front of the board building. Takidze refused us to check the permission on the place because it was not working day.

Although it was weekend, he was in the office and, as he said, was working. However, it was evident that he was occupied by playing football on intent. It is noteworthy, that the light was on in his office and he used the electricity during non-working hours unreasonably.

After we complained about his activities, the chairman changed his tone and blamed us in impartiality. “Your activities are beyond the competence of the non-governmental organization…. You seem to serve the interest of either one person or a party,” said Takidze. However, despite our question he could not name the exact person or a party which we serve.
