CSI Research Showed 44 % of People Supports the National Movement

According to the research of the French Company CAC 44 % of interviewed people supports the National Movement; 23 % supports the Christian-Democrat Movement; 16 % supports the Alliance for Georgia; 9 % votes for the “Industry Will Survive Georgia;” and the National Council is supported by 7 %.

Besides that, people were asked whether they expected the elections of the Tbilisi City Mayor to be fair and free; 64 % agreed; 22 % is sure that the elections will not be fair and free.

The French Company interviewed 1 000 people of the age of 18  and older on May 1-4 in ten districts of Tbilisi; the voters were interviewed in Nadzaladevi, Gldani, Chughureti, Vake, Saburtalo, Mtatsminda, Krtsanisi, Isani, Samgori and Didube districts of the capital.

The head of the international department of the CAC Celine Battler said the error in the results might be from 3 to 1 %.

TV-Companies Rustavi 2 and Imedi-TV ordered the French Company CAC to carry out political research of the upcoming municipal elections.

CAC was founded in 1972; it carries out researches of public opinion throughout the world since 1986.

The research results were presented at the Hotel Radisson.
