Kakheti News Center Will Photo-Monitor the Municipal Elections

Ten photo-reporters of the Kakheti News Center will work during the municipal elections and mid-term parliamentary elections in Kakheti region. With the financial support of the Open Society – Georgia Foundation the journalists will photo-monitor the election process in all eight districts of the region on May 30, 2010.

The hotline will work 24 hours in the office of the Kakheti News Center on May 30, 2010: The phone numbers are: 890 90 10 65; 8 253 2 65 75; 898 33 53 33

Voters, representatives of the political parties and non-governmental organizations can call these numbers and inform journalists about the violations observed at polling stations throughout the Kakheti region and request the group of photo-reporters to arrive at the particular polling station.

On May 30, Kakheti News Center will publish the information, news, photo and video-materials about the ongoing election process on the online newspaper www.ick.ge. The News Center will provide the local and international organizations with the updated information by e-mal.
