Election Carousel in Karajala Polling Station # 22

May 30, 2010
The election carousel went around in Karajala polling station # 22 in Lagodekhi district. According to the observer of the Human Rights Center, one person voted four times in the PS # 22.

“When I informed the chairman of the election commission about the violation, he ironically replied – you could not make out; they were twins. At 9:20 am after I insisted, the chairman of the election commission Elshad Poliev forcibly seized a bundle of the election envelopes from a voter,” reported the observer of the Human Rights Center.

Because of the chaos resulted from the violations, chairman of the district election commission Ivane Zurikashvili arrived at the PS. He denied the information about the violations in Karajala PS # 22 and stated he personally controlled situation.
