Commission Members from Opposition Parties Could not Cross The Flooded River

May 30, 2010

In the village of Cheremi, 4 commission members could not arrive at the polling station because of bad weather. The commission members reported to the Kakheti News Center that because of the heavy rain last night, the river in the village flooded and cars could not cross it. Consequently, the commission members could not arrive at the PS.

Those commission members represented opposition parties “Alliance for Georgia”, “Christian-Democrats”, “Labor Party” and “By Ourselves”.

Despite the incident, chairwoman of the Gurjaani election district Natalia Begashvili said that the only PS in the village of Cheremi is open.
