Agitators of the National Council Request Their Salaries

June 21, 2010
The agitators of the National Council in Adjara Autonomous Republic have not received their salaries yet. They said that the leaders of the opposition party deceived them.

“They are not going to pay salaries. They are prolonging the time and trying to reduce the number of agitators,” said an agitator who claims that unless the National Council pays their salaries they will appeal to the Court.

Representative of the political party For the Just Georgia Mamuka Kakaladze said that agitators will receive their salaries in summer. “The number of the agitators is being estimated now and the exact amount of the salary arrears will be soon estimated. The salaries were not paid because of technical problems.”

The agitators request their salaries of 80 GEL and bonus of 50 GEL as it was promised to them. The representatives of the National Council said that only those agitators who managed to bring the confirmation of at least 30 voters before the elections will receive the 80 GEL. As for bonuses, only those agitators will receive them in whose districts the National Council won the elections. The National Council does not have winners throughout Adjara Autonomous Republic.
