Human rights Centre express deep concern about current situation in Georgia. Law enforcers, dressed in civil clothes, are blocking roads, cutting wheels and beating drives of cars and buses, by which people from districts want to go to Tbilisi. Human Rights Centre considers, that it is violation of human rights and freedom of expression. There are not many facts in the world, when government go against people so evidently.
Human Rights Centre considers that similar activities of the government demonstrates its weakness and fear of the peaceful demonstration and can not conduct negotiation with the population.
As it became known former Defense Minister, Irakli Okruashvili was forcibly sent from Georgia. Irakli Okruashvili intended to attend the demonstration on November 2.
Human Rights Centre calls upon the government to enable people and opposite parties to arrange the peaceful demonstration. Centre considers that radical steps made by the government might end with negative results.
Human Rights Centre applies to local and international organizations and requests to do everything in order to control up-coming events in Georgia.
